Scholarships

Global Scholarship 

This partial tuition scholarship helps fund your study at the Durham International Study Centre and is only available to students who currently hold an offer. The value may differ depending on region and is offered on a first come, first served basis subject to availability.

This scholarship does not apply to students who are sponsored by a government, organisation or company.

Joint Scholarship

Students planning to start their International Foundation Year or Pre-Masters programmes with us at Durham University International Study Centre in September 2025 or January 2026 may be eligible for a joint scholarship.

The scholarship represents a £5,000 reduction in fees for the International Foundation Year or Pre-Masters, and a further £5,000 for every year of degree study at Durham University. Therefore, depending on the type of degree study, you can expect:

  • Undergraduate scholarships up to £20,000 (four years in total including the International Foundation Year)
  • Postgraduate scholarships up to £10,000 (two years in total including the Pre-Masters programme)

Important information

  • For students from Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Vietnam.
  • For those holding an offer to study at the International Study Centre.
  • Available to completely self-funded and international fee payers only.
  • Not available to students sponsored by a government, organisation or company.
  • Not available to students aiming to progress to any Business School degree at any level or Undergraduate Law programmes.
  • Joint scholarships offered by Durham University International Study Centre and Durham University.

All scholarships are subject to availability.

The reduction of £5,000 for the International Study Centre academic pathway programme will be reflected on the International Study Centre offer letter. Please refer to your offer letter for the details - if it is not listed, please contact our Admissions team who will re-issue your offer. Students will then need to meet the progression requirements of their programme and be offered a place at Durham University. A process is in place at the International Study Centre to apply and be awarded the Durham University scholarship.
